Hi There! My name is Michal and I was born and raised in New Jersey. I graduated from Yeshiva University in NYC and received a bachelor's degree in visual communication and psychology. I graduated top in my class and was able to showcase some of my works at the YU Museum in NYC. I continued my studies and received a master's degree in occupational therapy. This field allowed me to explore my passion for science and desire to help people reach their maximum potential.
I made Aliyah by myself in 2019...sort of by accident 🙈 (we can discuss that over a cup of tea 😂). Shortly after arriving here I wanted to reassess my career path because I felt that while occupational therapy was a really fulfilling career, it was not allowing me to utilize my creativity in a way that I wanted or rather felt that I needed to.
When I discovered UX/UI it all clicked. I had essentially been applying this thinking since as long as I can remember whether it be school projects, presentations, parties, and eventually my designs. I had a natural tendency to create better experiences for people around me.
Today I have 8+ years of experience working on projects that included UX/UI design work. I am proud of the initiatives I have taken to explore different style projects in this field and I particularly pride myself on starting my own food company.
Outside of UX/UI I love to hike, travel, climb, talk, and participate in anything creative.
I'm looking to transition from taking on projects as the sole UX/UI designer to working with a team of creative and incredible thinkers and doers. I want to continue to grow and learn but most importantly I want to contribute my talents, creative mind, and work ethic to design a better future.
